The certification exam is conducted by the American Association of Schools of Nursing (AASN) who has set a certain number of points to be scored in every test. The Boma Certification Test has a maximum of four hundred points. The score is used to determine whether the candidate is qualified to pass the test or not.
The format of the Boma Certification Test is basically divided into two parts. The first part is the clinical part, which mainly consists of the written portion. Then comes the practical examination where the candidate has to demonstrate his nursing aid skills on the job. The questions given in the clinical part are mostly based on patient care giving skills and they also include several practical questions. During the clinical part, you should have the ability to answer all the questions in the format of a question and answer session. You should also have sufficient experience in nursing aid so that the question and answer sessions become easier for you.
The clinical part requires you to complete twelve subjects. You can choose to do these subjects as you like but most candidates prefer to do them in order of priority and to be able to pass the Boma Certification Test.
